The key that controls the operation of each ABS pump is its controller. This miniaturized computer controls its operation and is responsible for our safety when braking. It would seem that there is not much more to say on this topic, but the technology in motor vehicles does not leave any stones in the ashes. Currently used systems can do more than just support emergency braking. They can also, for example, recover energy from braking force or take over control of stopping the car in emergency situations. The vast majority of these responsibilities rests with the ABS pump controller. Like any computer, it is equipped with a processor that calculates all parameters for the proper operation of the device. Due to the difficult conditions under the hood, it is exposed to vibrations, changing temperatures and weather conditions. The condition of the entire braking system is also important. Therefore, electronic failures of such a system occur quite often.
One of the most popular brake master cylinders is the MK61 (MK60 EC1) model from ATE. It was installed from around 2008 to 2020 by many companies in many vehicle models.
